SC105 configuration - cannot connect

burright May 31, 2017 02:42 AM

OK, so perhaps I am tired or something....

I have an SC105.  I have connected the CS I/O side to CS I/O on datalogger (CR1000).  Yes, the datalogger is powered.

I have connected the RS-232 side to PC via serial to USB adapter (which has been successfully used to communicate using loggernet to the datalogger).  I fired up Device Configuration Utility.  Selected the proper comm port, hit the programming button on the side of the SC105 and hit the connect button on Device configuration utility.

No joy - I get a dialog "Device Disconnected"  Text says "Load Failed: Communication with teh device failed or timed out"

Hints?  Suggestions?

Unfortunately I am on a time crunch to get this thing configured so it can be used to communicate with an RV50 via the CS I/O.  So any hints on proper setup for a Sierra Wireless RV50 would be apprecited as well.  I have been successful at gettin the ACEmanager up via web browser.  Just need to configure correctly...assuming I need to forward port 6785 correctly, but haven't figured that out just yet.

Thank you in advance for the help!
