Can anyone tell me why the CR800 logger (latest OS) writes to the FTP server seemingly every hour, including minute-by-minute headers, even when I use the -1012 code? Another CR800 32.05 OS VEr does even worse with hourly data. Thanks.

If the CR800 is unable to read the presense of the existing file on the server, it will send the header with the data. Make sure the CR800 has Read permission on the FTP user account in addition to Write permission.
You might try FileOption 12, which is the same format, but never sends the header.
Try 1012 (not negative)
Thanks so much for the suggestion. I also thought about the fact that the logger can't verify that the file already exists, but I don't understand why the problem is sometimes random. I'll try what you suggested anyway.
