Loggernet 4.7 RTMC 5.0 freezing / cpu / memory useage issues

WxRad Jul 31, 2021 03:09 PM

Hi all,

I just updated loggernet to the current 4.7.0.15 version from 4.6. I noticed immediately that when RTMC runtime was started, it's cpu use/load and memory useage was very high. After running for 5-10 minutes, RTMC freezes. I am running Windows 10 Pro 10.0.1943 with everything up to date ... Ver 4.6 was running great for more than a year without issue or downtime ... does anyone have any ideas? Can I downgrade?

Thank you,

Scott C.

WxRad, I will contact you directly to get more information from you, like a copy of the project, and CRBasic program being used so we can look into it the problem you see.

Please make a copy of your RTMC project in another folder or with a test name so you have a copy that you can give me before you make other changes.

Downgrade (of RTMC from 5.0 to 4.X)
You will need to uninstall RTMC Pro and install the older version 4.6

Your original project should be saved as a name with something like "file.rtmc2.RTMCv4.1.bak"
You can rename that file. You can make a copy first if you like. Remove the .RTMCv....bak portion of the file name. The file should end with .rtmc2

I am seeing a similar issue with ours . RTMC will not respond for a few mintues on startup, and seems to drag if you manually go to view a different page.

I'm also experiencing and issue with data collection taking along time on some of our locations. Radio error rates are 2% or less and oddly they are sites that only read a single sensor for stage, batery voltage, and a time stamp.

Finally is RTMC 4.x compatable with Loggernet 4.7?
