CR300 internet connection through modem

smeck Aug 1, 2018 07:00 PM

Hi,

I have CR300 with OS 7.04 installed and I am trying to send measured data to FTP account through modem (RS232 port). I have SIM with static IP address service and I believe that also datalogger is properly configured to be able to send data to FTP.

I can see my static IP addres in Device Config utility under PPP and also DNS IP adresses are displayed. I can send PING to my IP address and it is returning with time around 50ms, so probably device is "online".

Problem: I can't conect to the datalogger through HTTP, HTTPS (both are enabled in settings), datalogger doesn't send data to FTP and also I can't access it through LoggerNet utilities.

So what can be wrong?

thanks

To connect to the logger with a browser you will need to set up a "csipasswd File" on the datalogger.

Use DevConfig. Go to Network Services tab. Use the "Edit .csipasswd File" button. Edit the User Name that says "admin" by editting the password you want to use. When you Apply, it will save the file to the CPU drive. You can check the "Hide After Save" button if you don't want the file to show up in the CPU directory.
