extract data from many files

smile Dec 15, 2017 06:28 AM

Hello everyone,

for an error I wrote in the SC115 many files, over a thousand with a single line of data.

Is there a quick way to extract this single row of data to generate a single file where all the time lines of about 50 days are filled?

Thanks in advance

Regards

Smile

What's the file type? If standard text files you can do it at a command prompt in windows. at a command prompt:

copy file1+file2 file3

file1 and file2 are concantenated into file3

I have a utility that can merge data files much as you describe that I wrote a few years ago that may help your case.  If you would like to write to jon @ campbellsci.com, I will send you a link to the utility.
