Data output for a CR1000

chemgoof1010 Aug 23, 2017 03:15 AM

Hi. I have a CR1000 and have connected a small sensor to it. However, I think I'm getting a mixup of binary and ascii. The output I am seeing comes out as:

16:28:25.82 R 80 59 D7 FF FD FF FD FF FB FF FD FF FD FF FB FF  .Y..............

16:28:25.82 R 1D FF F7 FE FD                                   .....

16:28:26.65 R D6 D7 FF FD FF FD FF FB FF FD FF FD FF FB FF 1D  ................

16:28:26.65 R FF F7 FE FD                                      ....

16:28:27.55 R B0 95 FD D7 FF FF FF FD FF FB FF FF FF FD FF FB  ................

16:28:27.55 R FF 2B FF F7 FE FD                                .+....

16:28:28.38 R 95 FD D7 FF FF FF FD FF FB FF FF FF FD FF FB FF  ................

16:28:28.38 R 2B FF F7 FE FD                                   +....

16:28:29.20 R 80 D6 D7 FF FF FF FD FF FB FF FF FF FD FF FB FF  ................

16:28:29.20 R 2B FF F7 FE FD                                   +....

16:28:30.10 R 60 95 FD D7 FF FD FF FD FF FD FF FD FF FD FF FD  `...............

16:28:30.10 R FF 27 FF FD FE FD                                .'....

16:28:30.93 R 80 59 D7 FF FD FF FD FF FD FF FD FF FD FF FD FF  .Y..............

16:28:30.93 R 27 FF FD FE FD                                   '....

16:28:31.76 R D6 D7 FF FD FF FD FF FD FF FD FF FD FF FD FF 27  ...............'

16:28:31.76 R FF FD FE FD                                      ....

16:28:32.66 R B0 95 FD D7 FF FF FF FF FF FD FF FF FF FF FF FD  ................

16:28:32.66 R FF 3D FF FD FE FD                                .=....

So I am getting a time and then some ascii, but I am also getting the weird .....Y...... and it is random which characters it spits out.

I am not sure where to even begin trying to translate this and am fairly new to the Campbells. Anyone have any ideas? I can provide further information if needed

Thanks

If you are looking at the W command, the logger gives you both the HEX and ASCII representation of the data coming across the port.  This was a request from users to make it easier to read what they were seeing and allowing them to see the HEX in the raw.
