The EE181 is a new temperature and relative humidity (RH) probe, manufactured by E+E Elektronik Corporation. It features a proprietary coating on the RH element that increases the life of the element and protects it from dirt, dust, salt, or other contaminants. A platinum resistance thermometer (PRT) measures temperature for the -40° to +60°C range. Campbell Scientific recommends housing the EE181 in the MetSpec RAD10E 10-plate radiation shield due to its shield performance in bright sunlight and low wind speeds, as well as over snow or reflective surfaces.
